Having added new interests recently, I decided to re-do my interests collage.

I actually prefer this to the old one AND I snagged piccies for icon making. What do YOU think?

Thanks! Yeah. I must get around to that. 500 icons sitting on my hard drive don't do ANYONE any good.

Oh pretty!
Actually, there's a lot of pretty *guys* up there. ;o)
Maybe I should do mine again, too. These are so much fun.

Yes, yes they are. :D

Any, uh, yeah.... I seem to have developed a one track interests list. I wonder WHY?

Psychology says that women aren't as... pleasured... by pretty pics of GUYS as guys are of girls. Something to do with the Y chromosome competing and the XX chosing. We apparently have to be choosy about more than physical aspects. *sigh*

You're the PROFESSIONAL psychologist. What's YOUR interpretation? ;)

Well, *supposedly* guys are more visual about choosing a mate than girls. We are less fussy about the pretty but are drawn to (perceived) power and strength (that is, the mate that can bring home the bacon so the wee ones won't starve)

I dunno. I *think* I'm pretty visual though it's true I'm a fool for the ones that seem to have some kind of mastery, or position of power in whatever social or professional group I'm in. (No one ever said falling in love meant you were smart...)

Then again, I get off on green guys with shells so I'm probably not the most reliable info source on this.

I guess the question is, what do these good looking guys represent? Is it sweetness, romance, sexuality, power, security? Kinda like dreams, one size does not fit all. Seth Green to me looks like one of my kids, y'know? He's prolly someone altogether different to you.

Every guy I've ever fallen for in real life has been a geek giving off a "No Threat" vibe.

Obviously, guys in our society in computer programming or engineering etc have pretty good earning powers. 5 years ago my then bf was earning £30k. (US$60k @ today's rates of exchange.) So in THAT he is a good provider. But not a master. As I've said before, I have to be ABLE to dominate... I have to feel equal.

Though I might be attracted TO the good-looking actor, in every case I was attracted BY (fancied) the CHARACTER they play. And in every case the CHARACTER is about ironic humour and a certain vulnerability... but above all KNOWLEDGE. That's MY biggest turn on. If knowledge is power, I'm a megalomaniac. So maybe that's MY definition of Power. The knowledge to be good at a job?

My definition of "Sexy"... isn't in a guy's body, no matter how fit, or face, no matter how handsome. Sexy is the look in a guy's eyes when you - *I* - are the ONLY thinghe can look at... or see. When an actor does that earnest intensity on screen is when *I* melt.

And other than the character of "Oz" in Buffy, the biggest thing Seth Green has going for him is the red hair. I have NO idea why, but it's always been a turn on of mine. Even aged 7 drawing fantasy pictures of "My Wedding" the groom always had red hair. LOL
