Recommended Fan Site (Pros)

Having realised that, like me, some people are not on Tumblr, so may not be aware of the wonderful T'hy'la I thought about rec'ing some of the posts. And then decided that choosing between them was too hard for me.

So just go browse the "actionhusbands" or "the professionals" tags. It isn't just the gifs and caps, it's the tags and commentary, drawing my attention not just to Bodie and Doyle standing/walking/sitting suspiciously closely together, going through doorways at the same time, or the touching, but details like how happy Bodie looks when his Doyle's close (strains of The Carpenters: Close To You), them apparently arranging dates in canon, the way they check the other's response when they make a joke (and Bodie looks like a kicked puppy if Doyle glares instead of smiles)...

At this rate I'll be linking to all the posts. :) Go have a browse and enjoy!

I am seriously considering getting a Tumblr just to tell T'hy'la how much I enjoy these posts. I hope you like them too!

Yes! This has made all the difference for me and Tumblr, to be honest. I mean, I joined a while ago, but only sporadically went to look at it. Now… I just wish it was easier to have a conversation on it, and meet people!

Yeah. As Social Media go, I don't consider Tumblr very social. But two-thirds of my flist have emigrated there, notwithstanding. :(

I know LJ has its problems, but personally, I think Tumblr has more.

There's some nice posts over there - although I did rather like it when more people were playing in the same (lj-ish *g*) sandpit... I'm more word-y than just pictures, but the pictures are where the words come from, so... thanks for the link!

None of my fandoms have ever been all in one place. Even my very first fandom had LJ and three (somewhat rival) forums - plus all the different places people post fic. But yes, one social media account is about all I keep up with - even my personal LJ is now more or less merged here and I haven't been on Facebook in years.

For me it is the comments on the gifs that make that blog, though - the little details that get noted, usually in the tags. Glad you liked!

I have followed links to there several times recently and I love the ... whatever they are. Gifsets? Gifs? Caps? It really does make getting a tumblr account more appealing.

But, like msmoat, I find myself wondering how I communicate via tumblr? How do I have a conversation?

Yes, Tumblr is rubbish (IMO) for conversations. You have to *reblog* whatever it was you liked, then comment... and sort of hope that someone will reblog your post and comment on your comment.

Ye-eah. Or not. Heh. This is the main reason I am not on Tumblr. And anyway, I like LJ. :)

But that blog - more than ones like Daily Pros - does make me regret that I can't tell the creator how much I enjoy it.
